Need To Replace Aftermarket Wideband and Stock O2 Sensors. What Parts Do I Need?
Ok, so I need a new o2 sensor, but which one fits? I go to auto shops and there are multiple types that are listed to fit my 89 TII. So which one is it? 1 wire, 5 wire? And also, the previous o2 sensor was part of a wideband system and the electrics are now redone beyond my comprehension. Is it possible to just replace that wideband o2 with another and keep my wideband capapbilities?

The stock 02 sensor is a single wire outfit and connects to pin 2D at the ECU. It will not interface with a wideband controller/display in any way, shape or whatever.
A common BOSCH narrow band, single wire cost b/t 20-25 bucks at ANY auto store.
The stock 02 sensor will NOT use any of the wiring on the wideband 02 sensor that seems to have been installed on your car.
The WEB, GOOGLE and Wikipedia plus HOW STUFF WORKS are what life is made of.

Bosch has a universal and a direct replacement for the stock O2 sensor. The only difference is the direct replacement has a connector on the wire that plugs into the stock wiring. The universal has to be spliced in. Part numbers from the Bosch website:
Universal Type Part # 11027
Direct Replacement Part # 12054
Universal Type Part # 11027
Direct Replacement Part # 12054
