Arg, from what I have read GL5 tranny fluid is bad for the syncros (I have been blowing sycros like CRAZY) anyways I told my dad to go get some redline tranny fluid
and obviously ... . being a dad he takes the super SUPER cheap option and gets some ...STA-Lube hypoid sae 85W90 Gear Oil API/ GL-4

Whatever floats your boat. Just don't lubricate the transmission on your boat with what you dad bought you.
