The green is so dark it looks black, or at least that's what I've read/seen

The Infini IV did not come in black. It's a very dark green. You can even see it in this photo, especially on the bonnet.

Infini IV's did come in black.

per Brian Long's RX-7 history book, complete with photos. It was avaliable in Briliant Black and Shade Green.
