need a pic under the hood or good diagram
I have checked the fsm and cant find a good illistration for what i need. I need a picture of where the vacuum lines between the firewall and tb/uim go. So if you have a pic of this or a good drawing or can give me a page number in the fsm that shows it please do. The only drawing I can see blurs that part. thank you
it says top nipple goes to the slanted nipple on LIM
the 2nd from the top connects to the 4 way splitter that connects to each of the oil injectors
the next one down goes to the hole inbetween the oil injectors.
the bottom one goes to the FPR
if you still dont understand i dont konw what can help you.

That's HONKED UP. I don't think that is the way things should be. Sorry 'bout that.
That's IF we're talking about the four (some have only three) nipples on the back of the intake.
The slanted nipple on the lower manifold should go to the FPR. Not to the back of the upper manifold.
The top nipple should be capped. By the way, this is not a vacuum source.
The next nipple down goes to the fuel injector air bleed nipple located b/t the two oil injectors.
The third nipple down, large nipple, goes to the oil injector spider that feeds fresh, filtered air to the injectors.
The fourth nipple is the ONLY source of vacuum on the back of the upper manifold and goes to the double throttle diaphram OR any other item that needs a source of vacuum.
I think the originator of this thread wants a picture of the lines b/t the firewall and the intake manifold. I trust when he said firewall, he meant FIREWALL. But you never can tell. Firewall in my mind means that bulkhead where the brake booster lines run and oil canister lines run.

thats right hailers. thanks for the help. im going to take a look when I get home. i have the big one 3rd down int he right place and the 2nd one as well. Now the last one down what was it originally connected too and how about that one that used to hook to the turbo manifold twin scroll actuator. i have a new turbo and manny on so i no longer need it. Where does it originate. anyone know??

The last one down goes to a water thermo valve about three or four inches to the left of that nipple (looking forward). There should have been a checkvalve in that hose b/t the water thermo valve. That water thermo valve controlled the double throttle diaphram on the left front of the throttle body. Frankly that double throttel does not work on either of my cars. Busted diaphrams. You could just cap the bottom nipple off or use it for a boost gauge source of vacuum/boost if you wanted.
Sorry, never bought a cap. Just cut a piece of vac hose off and filled the last half with RTV and installed the other end on the metal nipple. Cheap.
The twin scroll metal nipple ........the source of vacuum is from the green solenoid on the left of the engine. If you disconnect the vac hose from that solenoid and blow smoke in the hose, the smoke should exit the metal nipple at that gang of metal nipples at the back of the engine. Thats the best I can do with that. It's too hard to accratley descrbe which metal nipple in that gang. It's a rear nipple and a bit lower than the rest ....I THINK.
