the 16" finger chopper? with 2 wires?

you need a relay, a fuse, and you should really have a temp fan thermostat.

I need NZ's pic

since I'm doubting you have a thermostat like most people here. run 12v from the battery to relay. 12v out from relay to fan. switched 12v into the relay. ground relay. and ground the fan. this is not the "right way to do it as it'll run when ever the car is on, and not only when it's hot.

if you have a temp themostat it should have instructions on the back.. and if you don't know how to hook up a relay. I'm very much hoping someone at a "garage" would

A garage that can't wire an electric fan would worry me...

most doesn't mean all

most of the posts I see here, people have switchs in the car or wired to +12 so it's always on.

I am using a temperature control to a relay, then the relay runs to the fan. This way the only high amps are running from the battery to the relay to the fan.

I can draw up a wiring diagram later.

Just like the one above?

minclo, that's a standard automotive relay, available at any autoparts store.

Well, I wired mine differently.

The switched ignition 12V goes to the relay (so the fan will shut off when the car is off).

Okay, nix that, I just looked at your diagram, and its the same way I have mine wired up.

Although I do have some complaints about the temp relay I got at the autoparts store. The range from "on" to "off" seems to be a big one. Oh Well, I am gonna switch to a Black Magic anyways.

Any car with an electric fan will have a temp switch to operate it, but you have no idea what temp it switches at or if it'll be suitable for your car. Plus you'd have to drill and tap a hole to fit it. An aftermarket adjustable switch solves both of these problems.

No. The stock electric fan is used as an auxiliary fan, so it's temp switch switches the fan on at a temp that's too high for a main fan.

Anyone got a part number, or where to get an adjustable thermostat? Only one I can find is the permacool setup on jeg's website.

I am currently using the crappy Imperial one from Auto Zone, and I am not pleased with the performance.
