need new dash 86 FC3S S4/N/A

My dash is hammered and I was thinking of pulling it and replacing it with a race inspired version. The trick of course, at least to me, is to retain as much of the original amenities as possible. I've noticed the turn signals might be hard to deal with but I can put the headlight switch in a different location (switched on the dash). . .I would like the logicon will retain it's original position.

It's assumed the gauges will get replaced, but I need to keep the warning lamp cluster to keep it registerable in CA.

Does anybody have any solutions out there? . . . .Anybody got a great link that shows in detail what I am in for?

I can't go to a Haltech or Power FC because in California they just outlawed changes to the ECU.

that new thing applies to 1996+ cars where the emissions test it to plug into the computer and read fault codes. technically i think its been illegal to modify the computer the whole time

Should look up LRB Speed. They have aluminum dashes for other cars which may give you some inspiration.

good luck
