need a lil' info from those with pacesetter headers

im looking to get headers, yes i know rb is higher quality however, i was curious if the pacesetter headers will bolt up to the stock cat's...all of the stock cats, not just the main cat. im curious b/c i have a bonez 2.5 racepipe and i dont want to have to get a presilencer or custom fab some piping to make the headers fit. im on a budget here and ive heard all the excuses about how pacesetter is crap and whatnot, but i had the pacesetter catback and it did take some work but it fit and sounded great on my 87 na so i have no problems with pacesetter.

it won't fit to your race pipe. it should bolt to the main cat, replacing both precats.

well the race pipe connects to the exhaust manifold and replaces all the cats so i am looking for a header that would bolt up to all 3 cats. i could just gut my old main cat and put it on, but i figure the race pipe is larger diameter. so does anyone make a header that would bolt up to all the cats?

No shorty header being manufactured AFAIK.
If I were you, I'd get somebody to make me a cat-replacement pipe and sell your current race-pipe to recoup the cost.

Pacesetter is ****. I had one but sold it to my friend. I wanted to go with RB for a better look. Two months after he was driving it, he blew a 2" hole in the first bend. To this day I have not seen anythign like it.

ya...i guess my options are limited. i might as well go for the RB. its not that much more. i wish someone would make shorty headers...would save people alot of trouble, but i suppose they dont b/c it might make problems in the exhaust pulse...or something of that nature. well thanks for the info guys.

I've got the two precats along with my stock manifold, but I replaced the main cat with a resonator that follows the precats directly, then the y-pipe exhaust. The Racing Beat headers will replace just the two precats and bolt up to the rest of my exhaust then?
