need info on 2nd gen....

I want to get a rwd and have always been interested in rx7s since i saw one in option about 3 years ago...and i thought of getting one (3rd gen ) and found the price way out of my price range...i was 17 at the time...and i wanna get a rwd to go drifting in so i decided on an rx7...and i like 2nd gen styling actually even more so than the 3rd...go figure. So i was wondering if you guys could help me before i through any cash down and full decided on a 2nd gen. Right now ive been shelling out cash towards my crx...swap exhaust ect. last car was a fully modded vw golf mk3, incase wondering why i dont have a rx7 by now...so any info would be great also what i should expect to pay for a rx7 and how easy is it to work on one my self. thanx for anyhelp!

Firstly, use the search feature...Please.

Secondly, youre asking for info but not on anything specific. Nobody can help you if you dont say what it is you want to know about.

If you just want to know about rx-7's in general, you have a whole internet at your fingers.

What Adam said

But, FYI, the seach link is in the far upper right of this web page, just below the "featured car".

You'll be blown away as the wealth of information that will roll before you on your monitor.

good choice on cars especially if you want to drift.

just make sure you learn somewhere that you won't crash when you screw up.

first of all, you'll need to decide if you want a turbo, or an N/A. If you want horsepower, get turbo. if you want good handleing and don't require lots of power, get an N/A. don't buy an N/A hoping to turbo it later.

I find my car very easy to work on. you should have no trouble doing your own work.

you need more specific questions. and when you get them, try searching first. good luck

and i was thinking of a turbo...been doing lots of all motor applications in the past...want something new...what should i expect engine wise for the rx7 with a turbo after this many years? replace turbo ? replac motor? seals what? i am sure most ppl didnt let the turbo cool down so i am sure ill have to replace it no matter what...but any other info would be great.

If youre really sorry you didnt do a search, why arent you doing one now?

Everything you asked has been covered somewhere on this forum. Just do some digging.

Watercooled, dont need to cool down as much as a lot of others. But compression test the car before you buy it, thats the most important thing ever. Test every single switch you can find in the car too.
