Need ideas for shipping a transmission

Hey guys, I'm about to close a deal with a guy in South Carolina to buy his transmission, but our challenge right now is how to package it for shipping. What's the most cost-effective way to package it for shipping via Fedex that will protect the tranny against shock damage en route, and keep the whole thing under 150 lbs? Any ideas, suggestions, whatever would be appreciated. Thanks!
