CA Need help! vibration when reving.

okay so i am looking for a solution. here is the problem, when i rev my car in general, (neutral/gear/standstill/driving) up passed 5.5k RPM's i get some low tone sound (like something is going to come off in the engine or tranny) and extreme vibration up the shifter. this only happens at high rpm and is normal anywhere below that. here are some things i have already considered: broken motor mounts?, broken tranny mounts?, out of balance flywheel? (i dont need to have the clutch engaged for this problem), driveshaft/u-joints? (vibration happens even when car is not moving), diff?, or broken/loose bearing in the tranny? (but tranny seems to be working fine with no grinds and is smooth).

I would like to ask if anyone has experienced this before and what is the problem and how you fixed it. Any useful information is appreciated. i am not a expert and am looking for expert answers because i keep getting shot around by shops that it could be this/that and charging me an arm and a leg to find the problem. thanks

you can also try slowly jacking up the motor to see if one of the mounts is broken. i had a broken mount and my **** was shaking pretty bad.
