Arrow Need help with vacuum line routing for aftermarket accessories

I am looking for some advice/help for some vacuum line routing for my car. Right now the car runs well and everything seems to be working but I have an HKS EVC that I am going to install this weekend. The car has JDM S5 intake manifolds...all block off plates are installed. I have a Tial external wastegate.

Here is everything that I can think of that needs vacuum:
- map sensor
- fpr
- cooling mist controller
- bov
- boost gauge

To install the boost controller HKS recommends not to tap off the vacuum line for the FPR...I have that one on the inside of the lower intake manifold. The lines to the stepper motor need to be as short as possible per the install instructions.

I would like to know what is safe to T together and where I should connect the 2 lines circled in red. Also a list of all available vacuum sources would be handy. Thanks in advance.

Well, your first connection should be on the compressor housing. And then the second one needs a metered air source, so the TB will work.

On the front side of the TB, the top 2 nipples are vacuum (FPR, emissions, PCV), but the bottom is metered air (PCV).

On the back side of the TB, the top one is vacuum (AAV), the middle is metered air (air bleeds), & the 6mm bottom one for the oil injectors is metered. It looks like there's a 4th one in the FSM picture, but it doesn't go to anything. Probably different on a JDM manifold anyway.

you mean the nipples on the UIM right?

the oil injectors are blocked off...here's a pic i was using for reference. i am going to be using the PCV...i wish i could find a detailed pic of the manifolds

Yeah, the UIM nipples at the TB.

I'd probably tee into the primary injector bleed line. It's metered, and unlike the one used by the PCV, it won't have crankcase vapors going through it.

i should have that nipple capped off right now so that should work.

what about the nipple before the throttle plates?

Metered air is from before the throttle plates. The path snakes through the TB from the nipples on the UIM.

on the pic...there are 2 red circles...one is before, and one is after the throttle plates...the one of the left should be the metered air right? what about the one on the left?

Ahh, I was looking at it backwards. Forget what I said before.

The one circled on the left would technically be metered, but they probably want the connection on the compressor housing.

The one circled on the right is vacuum (after the plates). So, the one you show capped on the front side of the TB/UIM (yellow) will work.

the one before is the nipple on the turbine housing. the other you can plug to the nipple in the middle of the UIM unless that one isn't vor vacuum.
so that would go on the back of the TB.

i think i got it...

3 goes to side of wastegate and compressor housing
2 goes to top of wastegate
1 goes to vacuum source.

i have my boost gauge on a single vacuum source so it should be safe to T off that one i assume...

It's fine to T it off for the boost gauge. But honestly it's pretty simple for the boost controller, I say put the metered air on the back side of the manifold (from the air bleeds nipples) and put the other vacuum source on the back of the manifold. S5 jdm tii intake manifolds are pretty simple.

The middle nipple on the back of the uim is for the omp. There is no 4th nipple on the back side rocket.

im using SS line and only -4 will work for this...the diagram says to use 4 and 6mm hose...do you guys think it will be a problem if i used -4AN for everything? -6 is too big.

nevermind about the last question...i just went to jegs and found this stuff:

http://www.jegs.com/i/Spectre/865/19110/10002/-1

its $14 for 10 ft...much cheaper than the $15 for 3 ft of -04AN SS line
