well title says it all, my 88t2 tak stopped working today. it was fine last night but when i turned it on today the tak just sat at 0. did something come loose or is it really bad, thanks for help

one posibility, does the car run fine?? if the car runs weird, then the trailing coil could have possibly failed,

but it could be a problem in the gauge cluster it self, or the wiring to it

 

If the trailing coil fails or is disconnected the tach in the gauges will stop working.

There are also screws on the back of the gauge cluster that allow the signal from the wiring to actually connect to the gauges. if the screws are loose or corroded the tach can also fail
