Need help, starting issues

First off, we switched the tranny/driveshaft last night. The engine ran perfect before, and we have double checked all the wires. The only thing we haven't done is replaced the plugs. The engine turns over, and half the coil packs are detinating, but it still won't catch. Any advice?

Everytime I work on my GXL, it gets flooded on the first startup attempt. I use the following method to get it to do something:

Unplug MAF, and crank relentlessly until it starts, then dies. Reconnect MAF, and start normally.

But then I get this white fog out the exhaust. It looks like a rock concert in my parking lot. The fog smells like fuel, and the engine runs like crap and dies. I haven't cured the problem, only overpowered it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

MIGHT be flooded, but we have let it sit for a period of a few hours between trying... I don't think it is comp, we just swapped a tranny, would that do it? We will try the MAF trick..

Removed MAF, cranked until it flooded (for sure this time ) looked over the engine and found a loose sensor, and am currently waiting for it to dry out.

Also, there is a sensor on the clutch slave cylender, and the wire broke off of it. A little black box, with the word "Delta" on the top of it. What does this do, where can I get a new one, and would it cause problems?
