For me, RWD is the main factor.
For you, it's about your preferences.

pistons have to go, sell the 3000gt and put lots of cash into a turbo rebuilt street ported motor with hurley racing seals and and a nice act stage 2 clutch. she'll go in there realy nice like. or keep both and put a little in both at a time. by the way its a fc3s or just fc if you will.

n/a for n/a, that 3000 is faster. If you can live with FWD, stay with the 3000. It is more reliable and will run mid 14s with some minor mods. You will need more significant mods on the RX to get down there. However, as far as I'm concerned, I have bought my last FWD car so, I would be looking at RWD even if it was slower.

Now, as far adding a turbo, here are your two easiest options. Option 1, Get the VR4 motor and drop it in your FWD 3000. It is pretty simple and you will have 300hp and be running low 14s as soon as you drop it in. Remember though you are still FWD and will have traction problems. Option 2, go the RWD route and find a TII engine for the RX. This is a little more involved in that you also need either need the TII hood, or a FMIC setup. A stock TII setup will run 15 flat as soon as you drop it in.

Obviously option 2 has more potential, but granted option 1 is easier. If it was me, I'd might sell them both and get the FD

Well, I have to agree with most of these posts and say RWD is better, and rotary power is a lot better. I do seriously suggest selling the 3000GT and putting all the cash in your FC. The money you get would probably more than cover whatever you need for the swap, depending on the condition of the car.
