Jesus Christ, no Civic engine (up to, and including, the B16B Civic Type R) has **** on the 13B. I'm a professional Honda tech, I'd know... not to mention there are no rear wheel drive transmissions that will fit a Honda D- or B-series engine.

If you want to use a Honda engine, buy a Honda or Acura car. Trying to get one in a '7 will cost you over $7k in parts alone.

If you really don't know anything about building a car, the best way to learn is by doing it yourself. Go find an autoshop class in your local HS or Junior college and take a general mechanics course. There are plenty of good books out there to start you out, even the auto section of howstuffworks.com has alot of great information. You should really get the basics down for yourself becuase if you don't, you will be spending alot of money having someone else fix it for you. Once you do get your basics covered, there is a decent book out there that I bought called Mazda RX-7 Performance Handbook that covers things on all 1-3G Rx-7s. It is nothing too indepth but a good primer for a novice.

The popular 'other make' swap for these chasiss are the chevy blocks. There is a section in these forums just for that, go read through the threads You could throw money at this car and basically fit in any engine you want. If you were to find a tranny to connect the FWD honda motor to, or even fabricate an adapter plate to connect the honda engine to the stock tranny, those engines spin in the wrong direction.
