need help with my clutch.

Well supposedly the gent said my engine was s4 accessories and s5 rotor housings and rotors and my clutch went out today im not sure which is right to buy,. is there any difference in the setup ? the tranny is a jspec s4 transmission. PLZZ help im stump but hopefully this is the right place to be asking! also if anyone has parts pertaining to my situation i have a little cash to burn so if anyone has a clutch or flywheel that will work post it here....

ps the guys at mazdatrix were pretty sure that it was an s4 motor too... id believe em.

flywheels are different weight between the two, but accept the same clutch and pressure plate.

Neither is more "durable" then the other. Both are solid steel and heavy as ****.

But as far as aftermarket flywheels go, i wont need to replace anything else to do so?

IF you get an aftermarket fly wheel, they will send you a fly wheel, but then you will have to purchase a counter weight of the right series. So if you have s5 rotors and such, you will need an s5 counterwieight. They can be purchesed on here for around $40, hope that helps.

hopefully my stocker can be resurfaced... cuz i theres really no way to tell the guys at the mazdatrix swore it looks like i have s4 housings too... and the guy i bought it from swears there s5 rotors and housings... ? jimmeny cripes....

Well, its easy tell if you have s5 housings or not, the s5 rotor housings have a spot to screw the knock sensor in right beside the spark plugs, the s4's had the knock sensor on the middle iron.

rgr s4 housings and rotors...

i guess i was too excited when i was on the test drive or he said it wrong but it has an S5 tranny not motor. either way my arm is jello so i had the professionals put my new clutch dropped it off today should be back tomorrow morning. quick turnaround every time ive been to this shop.

Revs like a dream, totally streetable, and grabs like a BEAST when you want it to.
