More info would be helpful as to where you see leak.
Calipers may leak, which I doubt. Check flexible brake lines behind each wheel. Check master cylinder if leaking down brake booster.

ok I pumped the brakes a bit and fluid came out of the part where the brake fluid resivour and the booster are connected. How hard is it to put in a new one or could we fix it without changing it out? I have a spare from my parts car that is also an 88 GXL both have no ABS so they are compatible right? What vendors have them new? I know about victoria british since i have the catalog but what others are there that have good prices?

it might just be a gasket between the two that's leaking, I dunno.

the master cylinder is leaking at the piston, so you see fluid leaking between the master and the booster.

very common (the other common problem is the fluid reservoir leaking).

Get a rebuild at parts store or some generic online parts store. Cost = $40 + core

The treaky part is to properly bleed the master cylinder once you have the new one and you're ready yo install it. well, unless you have a pressure bleeder, then it's easy.
