You'll probably want to search on this subject as there are a lot of threads on that topic. Would it make a difference? I guess that depends on what you mean by "a difference". You can drop some weight with it obviously. There is less parasitic drag, but that's probably negligable. There are pros & cons to doing it (just like everything else). You have to plug up some vac lines, may have cat problems (or you could remove/gut those too). I honestly don't have all the answers here, I would just search and form your own opinion...
