need help im new on working on rx7
so i rebuilt my brakes and now there on bleed the back ones and moved to the front but the fronts dont bleed like the backs did or maybe not at all.
A) should the car be on?
b) what is the proper steps to doing a bleed?
Next issue the car sat for 8 yrs and allot has been done to get it running again. i have not changed the fuel pump and filter. the car has always started until now. i ran the old gas out and add new. and i just started it two days ago and now that i put the brakes on the dame thing does not start. i turns and putter but just wont turn over. the battery is good and it has new plugs. what could be the deal?
Any ideas? thanks

The proper way to bleed the brakes is in the factory service manual. You can find it in the FAQ/Stickies at the top of this main 2nd generation page.
Bleeding brakes is the same on any car. You don't need to have the car running. You DO need a friend though
Jack the car up on all corners and take off the wheels (it's easier with the wheels off although if you had to, it can be done without). You start with the wheel furthest to closest. Back right, back left. Front right, front left.
Pump pump pump the brake pedal, then release the bleeder. Let the fluid flow out. Then tighten and repeat until the air bubbles are gone. Move onto the next wheel. Remember to add fluid to the reservoir during the entire procedure.
As for the engine woes... it could be anything. Probably flooded. Again, it's all in the stickies/faq's

Change the gas filter. If you ran old gas through it( bad idea,.,just plain Bad)
The brakes should be Bled from the Furthest (rear passenger) to the xclosest (driver's Front).

ok bleed the brakes and so far it went well but one dame prob. i threaded out the front caliper bleeder screw and now it just spins. should i buy a bigger one to fit the hole and will that re-thread the hole. as far the engine prob. ill pick up a filter and go from there. maybe ***** up a fuel pump. is there a way to tell if its working?
