Need Help on ignition and spark
I have an 88 T2 and just got done replacing a whole new body harness because I thought I had some short in the harness. But after the install I still couldn't get any power from the ignition to my coils. I had checked the coils for voltages and there was nothing going to them.
Also when I turn the key nothing happens, like as any warning lights or beeping sound when you first then the key. Also no power going into the starter to fire it up also. I 've looked under the dash and I have a couple plugs that wasn't hooked up to anything? But I couldn't find any other plug for it to go into. I'm just stuck. Really need some help.
All my dash lights, signals, wipers, and fuel pump and other stuff works though. Any help would be apprciated. Also will get some pix of the left over plugs up soon.

check to see that you have a ground at the Engine. It grounds off the harness to the longest Starter bolt at the engine/ bell housing. Also check to see that you have a Lead going to the solenoid on the starter.as well as a Positive going to the Starter.make sure that Positive lead is going to the correct Nut on the starter.
You need to find out what the heck those plugs are Under your dash.(maybe Pics and post them up?)..
Check your Main Fuse in the Engine bay and make sure that it is Good.It it isn't Replace it..IF it Pops right away, something isn't Right..YET.you will have to Double check your wires.
