Need Help Finding Convertable Part

Hello everyone,

I am looking for help locating the piece pictured. It is where the convertable top attached the the body in the back. I am getting it professionally replaced and he said he has never seen something like this happen where water must have gotten trapped under the top and rusted away the piece. Its a 91 RX7. My car is stuck with no top until I am able to hunt down one of these. Any help super appreciated!!

I thought it wouldve came with a new top. You might have to custom that bracket. The part is in the second gen parts manual you can find in foxed.ca but its really hard to read out the part number, I think its R1-236 ??

I may be going through this soon. Still waiting for my new top to arrive. Hopefully, mine is in workable shape. Did you get a top made by Robbins?

I called out to a few top manufacturers and none of them said they have anthing to do with that part and mazda no longer makes it. Had to hunt down a donor car. No where has them aftermarket anymore. The goog news is it is unlikely to be an issue. The guy doing the top has done aout a dozen of these model rx-7's and never seen this. It was likely an instal defect. water almost never gets trapped in there.
