Need help factory horsepower rating and generation?
Good day! I am seeking any information concerning these particular engines! I am new to the Mazda rotary world and looking for info on these Mazda 13B engines? I am specifically, looking for info on the whereabouts of any serial numbers and the location if any or anything that might lead me to the factory horsepower rating? Also, what generation they are if someone is able to identify from the photos?
Thank you!

Looking at the two engines mounted on stands those look to be 2nd generation RX-7 engines with some other water pump. Possibly a RX-8 water pump. The lack of an EGR port on the intermediate housing makes it look like a 1989 to 1992 or S5 engine, but who knows what's inside it. If it is an 89-92 engine it was rated at 160hp. There's no way to know if it is all 89-92 parts or if it has a mix of 86-88 parts in there as the 86-88 motors had lower compression rotors. If you have a 2nd gen. RX-7 and need a motor and if you could win the auction cheap enough they could be good buildable cores, or they may be able to be used. Plan on being a core anything more is a bonus. As for the one on the trailer who knows. It's probably a 2nd gen as well. Unless you have the rest of the boat/ plane to put it in I wouldn't bother.

They're 2nd generation engines, judging by the lack of front/rear mounting locations (1st/3rd gen respectively) Other than that, remember that the internal components can be swapped around.
Could have RX-8 rotors for higher compression.
Could have S4 T2 rotors for lower compression and need forced induction.
The ad says that the previous owner (RIP) had modified and rebuilt them for use in aircraft/boating.
Who knows what could be inside.
