Need help with electrical metering oil pump
The metering oil pump is leaking from one of the gaskets, just want to know what gaskets will i need to do a rebuild and was it a bitch to do??
Anyone know of any rx-7 sites with a how to on this?? help will be appreciated alot..

Could I get the gaskets from maz-max? If you say it's not that bad, you want to help me fix it?? I'll give you a call tomorrow around 6:00pm alright!!!

not sure if mazmaz has them but i dont think they would cost that much and yes ill help you out if you want we could do it on saturday hense i am not working at the performance shop (cough)(rice shop) anymore.

Its not that horrible, However, its not that easy.
You have a copper gasket that covers four lines and four copper washers on the injectors themselves coming from the pump and to the intake and housings. I doubt it would be leaking from there, unless the bolts are really loose. The leak is probably coming from an oval shapped rubber gasket that sits on the inside and seals the pump to front cover. So that's 3.00 bucks.
One other important thing is to torque the oil pump to the exact torque specification range recomended by mazda. Off the top of my head its like 5lbs or something but check to make sure! Its Not a lot though. Don't over torque it or things get shitty.
Be very very careful with the oil injector lines as was said earlier. I mean really careful. They are very brittle when old. 20 bucks a line and some un wanted throttle body mess if they are ruptured.
You'll have to flush the coolent system while you're there because the lower coolent hose will have to be removed, along with the water pump. So be sure to get these related gaskets too and some RTV.
