Power Seatbelts, Locks, and Windows
My 89 TII has Power Locks, Seatbelts, and windows. All of which I find to be more annoying than helpful. Is there anyway to go about converting them to manual style? I was thinking for the windows and locks id have to get all new doors from the junkyard, or at least the interior parts of the door. But for the seatbelts I wasn't sure. Cause doesn't the top of the belt bolt into the body right behind the door? That would mean I'd have to change all of that. Well, if anyone knows, anything about doing any of these, lemme know.

Well...
power locks: uh, no, just dig into the door and disconnect the switch that's connected to the lock, and voila! no more power door locks. Trust me, it works (I'll explain if you really want).
power windows: uh, that'll pretty much require a new door. It's just not worth it. Besides, it's a PAIN to reach over a turn-turn-turn-turn the pax side winder to lower the other window
power belts: welcome to late-80s legislation. Say high to Mr. Nader for me. Argh. Anyway, if you've got a pre-89 parts bitch, you can swap the interior trim and center console. There's already the required holes for the belts to bolt into, since the J-specs didn't have mouse belts. It's literally a bolt-in, if you've got the interior pieces. ALL the pieces. Oh, but you've gotta pull all the sensors and computers and wiring and beepers and the little light in the idiot light cluster. Have fun

Information Regurgitator
I just have my automatic belts disabled.Just get them in the all the way back position they are in when you shut the door( just push the switch in on the drivers side that will make the dome light go out which will make it think the door is closed and move the belt to the rear position. You'll have to have the key on.Then pull the fuse.Make sure the passenger door is shut so they both are back.)You can use them like a normal belt without the annoying running back and forth.Of course mine have never worked so I didn't have to do this method.
