Need Help Asap Mechanics Tune In

i just recently purchased an 88' rx7 and today i replaced the clutch and the slave cylinder. My problem though is that now the car idles at 3000 rpms and when i accelerate the shift light turns on at 3200 and i cannot accelerate past 4000 rpms what the car does is similar to when you hit a rev limiter. I NEED HELP ASAP SO IF YOU KNOW WHAT IT COULD BE PLEASE HELP THANKS SCARFACE_613

its normal for the shift up light to turn on at that point. But if you cant accelerate past 4000, its most likley your secondaries not turning on.

Hope it helps.

your secondary injectors. They turn on at 3800 rpm by the ecu. You have a lot of searching to do. There are many posts on your subject.

also not sure if it has anything to do with the secondary injectors because if i accelerate slowly it will let me go past the 4000 rpms until i floor it then whatever rpm im at is when it does that problem

thanks for all your help ive been trying to search on this site but everything i type in just gives me no replies but thanks for your help

I'm a noob as well to rotarys. But this is known as the 3800rpm hesitation. I forget what it's caused by.

Tons of threads on this.

Good luck man.

what your expeirencing is not quite the 3800rpm hesitation.
check the tps for the idle problem?
id have the secondary injectors cleaned and flow tested.
