Need Help Asap!!!!
i already did a search so please dont flame me. I have a problem with my '86 6-port. i just recently bought this car from some one that lied to me and said it was a quick fix. the car has no airbox(intake starts with the MAF sensor), and only the exhaust manifold. the problem is that it does not start unless i clean the spark plugs, it will start and run for a few seconds and then it dies. I can keep it running if i push the throttle down until (i think)the secondaries kick in. but as soon as i let it run on only the primaries, then it dies. it sounds like it is running on only one rotor, and when i take out the plugs, one rotor (front) is cold and wet, and the other is dry and hot.
here is what i have checked and found to be good:
- fuel pump
- fuel lines
- spark
- changed injectors twice
- elecrical resistance check on all injectors
- MAF sensor
- fuel pump resistor relay
- my swearing ability
- i think i am forgetting something
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED
p.s. i have been around rx7 forever, but almost exclusively 1st gens, and and i have never deeply worked on anything else

I did a compression check and it was all good, and where do i go or what do i do to check for proper function.
also, when i spin the moter with no spark plugs in it the rear rotor shoots out fuel and the front rotor does not. the injectors have proper resistance but i was also wondering if there is a way to check if maybe the wiring is bad for the front rotor injectors

i'll do that, thanks, but i have already changed the injectors twice, i know i haven't had them cleaned but the ones in there now came out of a running car. and what are the chances of me putting three bad injectors in the same spot on the motor three times in a row? i will get them cleaned anyway but i was looking for a way to check the injectors electrical stuff.

While the car is running, probe each injector with a stethescope. You may find one not firing. In which case you need to trace the wires back to the ECU and check all connections for breaks (like at the resistors).

IT FINALLY RAN ON ITS OWN!!!!!!!!!
i fixed some vacuum lines, and (dont get mad) sprayed off the primaries with brake clean and now it runs, i'm going to put an exhaust on it and an air filter and see if it will stay running for longer (idled for about 6 minutes). thanx for all the help!
