I bolted back my turbo...and I forgot the put the freakin heat sheild between it and the block/LIM.

Is that a problem?

At first, I didn't want to put them back in, but then decided otherwise and painted them...Now I forgot to put it back in. Will it do any damage?

The thing is, I dont want to take out the turbo and waiste the gastket. Its freakin expensive.

Not a problem. Technically it'll heat up the intake air a bit but it's not a big deal. You're not going to melt the block or anything!
