Unhappy need help

i took my 88 fc to the shop to get it running! i knew i needed a fuel pump but never have time to mess with it after my daughter was born. i told them to just put the fuel pump in for me and i would pick it up later, turned out that they had also put a set of plugs in without my knowing it was not even on my bill. left the shop the car was loosing power i took it back home about 1.5miles away. I then started to check the car to see if it was the pump they had just put in it was not! the last thing i looked at was the plugs and started to think they were not the right plugs and they looked new i pulled the leading plug out and found that they had screwed me big time there was a set a autolite single electrode plugs in the car well as it would be my luck the spark plug tip was in to far the apex seal and rotor where hitting it! bye bye engine!!!!!!!!!!!

well heres my question is there any where that can fix a housing for cheaper than a new one? please need some help on this one!

so they never bothered to check to make sure you were getting the same plugs you needed? go in and ask them this

You changed the plugs right?
Yes we changed the plugs.
ok and you changed them with out me telling you to do it right?
well yeah we went ahead and did the work
Did you check to make sure you put the right plugs in?

take it like that and tell them you want a new engine or your going to the BBB

he is right but record the conversation while your doing that without them noticing the phone recording. but i guess that you told them that the plugs missed up your engine which means they will deny it.

figure it out. don't let it go

it is illegal to do something to your car without your consent.
and obviously if you have the plugs they put in, and they are wrong, that's physical evidence right there.
as for your question...i have no idea.

Start recording or getting other physical evidence of all communication with them.

Contact an attorney if stuff doesn't go your way right quick - they owe you a new engine. Not a rebuild kit and housings, but a whole new engine.

Don't back down on it. A few mentions of an attorney and a letter from one will quickly change their tune.

if they are paying for the repairs, why wouldn't you get new ones?

I honestly don't see this ending well if they are going to rebuild your engine, they didn't even know which plugs to put in the thing, you think they can properly rebuild it?

I would demand a new engine.

99% of the time, the housing and rotor end up getting destroyed when an apex seal breaks. The pieces of the seal get flung around inside the housing and chew everything up, and there's no way to repair them.
