Question need help

' 88 fc 13b. have removed main fuel line coming directly from pump turned ignition on-pump is working. Checked the inj. main 40amp. fuse it is fine. Have checked the spark from each coil-both are sparking. Just looking for suggestions from you fine folks on where else would be a good place to look. Should i check for fuel pressure up to or past the regulator? Have even sprayed a little either and nothing. Engine turns freely. Just bought car and trying to get it running.
Thank you for any help on this.

ether is bad for rotary engines. Search the forum for unflooding techniques. Basically you pull the EGI fuse and crank the engine while flooring the accelerator pedal.

Pull the spark plugs and check to see if they are covered in fuel.

Follow the steps in this link:
http://rotaryresurrection.com/flooding.html

If all else fails push start.

If the car has been sitting for 6 months it is also possible that you have bad fuel. Drain the fuel tank and replace with good new gas.

ok I have cleared the engine and replaced the fuel fouled plugs and drained the fuel and repleced with fresh fuel. held the throttle down and have used either the engine turns and every so often sounds as if it wants to crank. am i missing something else that can be done? also used the atf as well after i cleared the engine out.

You may have to repeat these steps several times before it works. If it is really flooded a push start will never fail.
