Need ECU to power on car?
Heya,
Does anyone know if i need to have the stock ECU IN to beable to turn the car on (like to acc, not fully on as in cranking). Currently i dont have the ECU because i sold it to do a Haltech install, and i dont have the haltech installed yet. But i wanted to do a few things i know i can do (like install a stereo in the meantime) but i need power to verify. Thanks.

All the ECU does is run the engine. It gets it's power from a relay switched on by turning the key to ON, so the car needs to be "turned on" for the ECU to work, not the other way around.
