Lightbulb Need Creative paint ideas

Hi everybody, I will be painting my FC later this summer and i need some creative ideas.

im looking for pictures of well done paint possibly 2 tone. anything would be great. Also if anyone has seen a nice OEM paint that they think would look good on our cars, i would really like the suggestions.

thank you in advance

Look below for a three tone....Eliminate the light blue and go with silver and Stock 91 Blue...would be a nice combo...IMO

I don't think the FC takes two tone paint combos very well. However, I do think that the 3-tone that RussinStk has in his sig is pretty nice. But his car is a SCCA car, not a typical street car.

I'd actually like to see that. Is the red dark? Like a maroon?

I am painting my 10thAE the stock Crystal White, with a little glow pigment and white gold pearl mixed in the clear coat.

So at night it will glow white slightly, and in the day it will have just a touch of sparkle to the white (simular to the new Lexus IS300 white paint).

Icemark That is a wicked idea. can anyone point me in the direction of a site where i could find paint samples? or buy that "glow paint" that Ice was talking about?

also the car is Dark Grey and i will be changing the colour. does anyone have an idea of the added time it will take to do all the door seals, trunk seals, etc. ?

I actually bought the glow powder online on ebay. I found a vendor who was unloading a bunch of it, and I bought a couple of packs. It is a dry white powder made to be mixed with paint.

For testing I mixed some with some clear acrylic lacquer auto paint (much like you would mix a pearl or metallic), and spray'd it on a test panel to figure out the amount.

I also painted the inside of my aquarium hood with the same mix, so that it glows at night (like moon light) after the aquarium lights turn off.

It really glows wild under a black light... almost like the paint was a thin elecroluminsent panel, but you can see it under moon/street lights at night, just not as strong.

Don't know, but it is a white powder, so it would probaby shift a black paint job to a charcoal color.

Of you could just use a acrylic lacquer (which is made to be a bunch of thin "see through" layers).

Yeah, to change a color (and do it right) you need to strip everthing off the car- trim, bumpers, window gaskets, etc.

ok so maybe a two tone Grey and black would be better. that way the grey would look right at home and i could still have the black.

now.... just finding a way to paint it that would look good. any ideaswhere the paint should change?

Here is a link for what looks to be the same stuff (although the powder I got was House of Kolor):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...181358464&rd=1

And here is a picture of it mixed in paint:

Sweet mc-freaking-jesus I've decided what I'm gonna do to my 7. Icemark, do you have any pics of your car during the day and at night? I'll be doing a similar white but with a light flip-flop of blue, so I want to see the outcome of yours before I get too serious about this.
