Exclamation need clarity on the rotary resurrection 6th act.

okay reading the tech article on the site, it says that you need one or two of the engine vac. soleniods. I have an 87 n/a and i straight pipe the car. menaing i have to use the electric activation. But i m confused what it means by one or two. Do i need an additional soleniod off another car? or do i just use the ones that are there? I am orderinng my MSD switch today and pills, then i guess i am going to get started on the wiring setup also. But i to know what EXACTLY i am doing with the 87 N/A Vac solenioid setup.

If you are concerning the 5/6th ports opening, then you don't need to do anything, for the ports are opened up by exhaust back pressure via the split air tube. As far as rats nest removal, you can remove them, you will have to run some fuel line, and you might want to leave the soleniod controlling hot start (i think?) it's an orange plug on the soleniod. I forget, i know it rises fuel pressure though

no cat = no backpressure going through the pipe = need activation

The summit switch will be wired to switch a vac solenoid.

The input of the vac soleniod will be hooked to the air pump, while the output of the solenoid will be hooked to the input of the aux ports.

the summit ramps the voltage which is a little funky. But it can be done with the MSD one correct?

Sure... all you need is a switch that outputs 12 volts or ground at a set RPM.

Well you will need to retain the air pump and a vac solenoid to make the aux ports work (as well as a vac solenoid for fuel pressure).

well i got a few days to fiddle around with it. i am going to use the walmart $15 air pump motor idea to follow the original directions as a base. Seeing this is first time i am messing around with the motor's operations like this, i dont want to get too creative.

HMmm , well I can't recommend that approach, but even if it doesn't work, its just the aux ports that would not be working and you can still drive the car.

Heck, 15-20% of the non turbo owners probably have stuck aux ports anyway and don't even know it. That is why you see some many bogus "wired my ports open and got tons of HP" threads.
