Moving VDI/Aux Port Activation RPM

This thread refers especially to modified S5 N/As.

I have totally ported out my entire intake, including the TB. Custom CAI w/ APEXi cone, I have a full RB collected header exhaust. I have a CraneCams Hi-6 ignition box. There are a bunch of other modifications I have made to the car, but you get the idea.

Has anyone found benifits (especially on the dyno) by moving the RPM at whitch the VDI or Aux ports open? If so, what RPM have you moved it to? Anyone got any dyno graphs of it?

I played with VDI and Aux port activation on my Vert for a while, but found near stock to be the best compromise.

3600 for the aux ports and 5200 for VDI gave the best HP curves up through to about 7200 RPM.

But this is on a S4 block, with S5 mid and UIM also using a Crane and street porting of the motor, extrude honed intake.

I ported my intake, etc etc etc also... I also removed my 6pi. IM assuming my car benefits off the VDI at a higher rpm than normal, Im assuming around 7k. Because I drove it set to open at 5.5k and it seemed there was significantly less torque. So I just leave my VDI closed with removed auxports/sleeves. This way I can remove the airpump.
