Need clarification on flywheel balance ad years

okay i may have confused myself. I believe the motor i have is an 87. I need a flywheel for it. I also have a 88 motor with the flywheel. Can i swap the flywheel directly or do i need the counterweight also. and when i say counterweight is it the one on the front of the motor.

it late, im fed up with searching through conflicting information, but i dont want to mess this up.

87 and 88 engines have identical flywheels/counterweights.

Stock flywheels are numbered, just be sure they match.
