need a catback

my y-pipe fell apart so i took to putting in a precat delete pipe i got for free and gutted the cat. right now it is, of course, loud as **** and i am attracting enough attention to be my own motorcade. anyway, i was going to buy from corksport but both their muffler and catback are at least 3 weeks from coming in. needless to say they were sort of rude when i inquired about whether the catbacks were on back order too. seems he didn't understand that 3 weeks is a little long to keep this loudness up. so i'd rather not deal with rude people. apexi is the next on the price chart and i know they design good stuff. anyway, what i'm asking is, what catbacks are in the 300-400 dollar range and who sells them? the only place i know of right now is rx7 store but i wanted some others to compare. also how quickly they get stuff out, etc.

is this really so ******* hard to answer? does it have to be something completely gay to get responses in this section or do i need to add boost problems to the title? perhaps "can i beat this turbo metro with these mods".

Pretty damm rude... like you think that will get you anymore responses?

There are very very very few decent catbacks in the $300-$400 range that you specified, so few that most people have never heard of one that cheap.

Dynomax

i bought a Dynomax 2.5" CATback system and it definitely made a diff., very nice sound to it(deep ballsy sound)!! Cost about $495 next day, from my local imported sport compact auto parts store!!(Mikes Auto, in VT) kinda like that shop in Fast and Furious can get virtually anything!! PEACE!!

Try getting borla or dynomax from summit. depending how much you want to pay for shipping you wont have to wait 3 weeks for delivery. If you can find either of those in a catolog for less they might match your price.

You know what a downpipe is right? It's a pipe that comes down from the Turbo ( which you don't have on an n/a ) to the catalytic converter if you have them, or a mid pipe.

A down pipe for a N/A goes from the exhaust manifold to the main cat or to the Y pipe.

Having a turbo or not has nothing to do what so ever with using a down pipe on a rotary.

It's all a technicallity! Like saying NIC card instead of NIC. (I love when people correct that. Idiots! Who cares! Shows there outstanding knowledge.) I knew you were talking about N/A's. Let it go.

thanks guys.

icemark, you want rude i'll give you rude. this is the 5th time i've posted something i need info to in here and it always trails off and i throw some kind of joke in to bump it. the 5th time is annoying as ****. you yourself are known for your crack-cold remarks, etc even for being a knowlegable guy. rude or not i wasn't getting any responses on what seems a simple question. so either contribute or go play well somewhere else as i never said in there that i needed someone to come coach me on how to be nice. plenty of people responded with good ideas so obviously you where wrong. also about there not being any since people have shown there are.

also for you guys arguing the downpipe. i already said i have a precat delete pipe so that one isn't necessary. i also didn't want to deal with corksport after the guy never listened to what i said.
