Need Advice: Rpm's surge and high idle after PD replacement

I just got done replaceing my Pulsation Damper and now my car's rpm's are high and surgeing. For example, during my test run, it was surgeing from 2000-2600 rpm's ( keep in mind it's not idleing right ), and this was after a 15-20 min warm up period. I drained the coolant since there was a coolant line leading up to the intake and didn't want to chance anything, so the 15-20 min warm up period was to get the thermostat to open. After about 15 mins more and another test ride around the block, the car's idleing at 1500 rpm's. I did clean the upper injector's with some 2+2 Carb cleaner. Would this cause the surgeing? Maybe some loss dirt? Could the throtle cable not be adjusted properly and keeping the car at 1500 rpm's? I am stumped

Just did my PD also...only thing I can think of is maybe you swapped or left the vacuum lines off the thermo wax on the back of the TB, which controls the idle on a cold startup....
