need advice, blown or in limp mode?

I know this may sound stupid but out of all the rx-7's i have owned i have never encountered a blown rotor or limp mode. i have a 91 vert that has 114k and is what seems to me to be running on 1 rotor. I took the spark plugs out one chamber at a time and the rear rotor has the 3 strong pulses and the front only 1 whispering pulse. I am asking this because i am getting ready to buy a used motor and i just would like to make sure my baby is possibly not dead. I always come to the 7 family for advice and this is one of those times that i could definetely use it quick, thanks.

yea i would say either you would have to rebuild and replace the seals or get the used engine.

Compression Check it to be positive, but the whispering pulse usually means no compression on all faces...
