Nasty leak...
Ok I just took the car to a local shop to have the exhaust looked at. I have already owned 3 t2's and I kinda had a feeling this was not an exhaust leak.
Well turns out the leak isn't coming from the exhaust.
From past experience I am GUESSING that the leak is coming from between the turbo and the turbo manifold where the turbo bolts up to the manifold. Now being this car has a t2 engine, no t2 tranny or other parts. The guy who sold me the car told me this car currently has a t2 ecu but he thinks the car is running n/a injectors!!! WTF?? That can be good. Who ever did this swap didn't do a full swap and when they changed the exhaust they were probably running it hard and from the boost spikes due to the new less restricted exhaust over heated the turbo and housing where the turbo meets the manifold, unless the leak is on the turbo to downpipe side... I am not 100% sure though. Is this an expensive fix?
Is there anyone in my area that can help me??
Should I take this car to KD rotary? Is he expensive?? I have used his shop in the past. I ordered the Mazda Shop Manual for this car. I really want to learn how to do all the work to this car myself. Unfortunatley I do not have a lift and all the proper tools required. The experience I lack too but I am a fast learner!!
Any help or advice that you all can give is appreciated.

You are limited in what you can inspect from above the car.
With the car stone cold, start it up and then use your hand to feel around all the exhaust joints. You will feel the leak. Be careful, because it will heat up quickly.

Ok all; I am not worried about the leak. I took the car up to KD rotary today and Dave took a look at my car. Dave is a friend of mine from when I bought my very first t2 back in 1997! The leak was what I thought. It was the turbo to the manifold. But he pointed out other things which are more important and I now have a big decision to make... I am going to start a new thread because I need advice and all input so please all read my new thread... Thanks
