Name that turbo part

Alright, I got a few parts that I need identified durring my teardown of my turbo 2. One is the black cylinder that sits against the firewall (next to the charcoal canister and Cruise control) with no hoses but a plug going to it. The other is this little plug located right next to the throttle body which the wire came out of. What does it do and do I need it?

1: wiper motor.

2: some sensor over on the driers side of the engine.

Figured it was some form of sensor. Go figure it was a wiper motor. Didn't even think to look if I had a second one. Thanks. Anyone know what the sensor is?

I want to say it goes to that giant nut looking thing by the base of the oil filler tube.
