NA to turbo?

NA to turbo?
OK here is the idea: turn my '90 vert from NA to turbo
Background on my car:
1990 convertible
37k original miles
oil changed every 2,500-3,500 miles
Greddy PE
HKS Super Megaflow
custom cold air box
border naca duct headlight cover
I also have 2 new 550 secondary injectors
I wish to end up with between 200-250 rwhp (is there a better range to aim for, engine longjevity somewhat important)
Is this a feasible project?
What EXACTLY do I need?
How much will this cost (without any labor)?
How long will it take (gathering parts) (install)?

why not just buy the t2 engine?? 950 for a 89-91 jspec from cork sport. will probably be cheaper than getting all the part to change between n/a and turbo, the only thing cork sport doesnt include is the ECU, they include wiring harness tho. thats what im gonna do with my 86

I have an even better idea, but I would need some info/help myself: I'm about to have a rebuilt motor put in mine, which means that all the stuff that Nelson fabricated for the supercharger kit will be taken off my old motor and added to my new one. I'm willing to make molds, copies or whatever, but I have no idea how to do it. If someone could help me find out how to do this, we might not need to wait for Mariah to make another run. There are only four pieces that are truly custom:

The main mounting bracket
The elbow with a nipple for the bac line
the adapter horn to attach the elbow to the throttle body
The upper radiator hose neck where the thermostat goes
You can see all the pieces in this pic from Travis Shrey's site:

1989-91 J-Spec Motor Complete
1989-91 TII harness
89-91 TII ECU
89-91 TII AFM
89-91 TII Boost Sensor
1987-91 TII Tranny
1987-91 TII Diff, halfshafts, driveshaft
BOV
TII Hood (or FMIC)
TII fuel Pump (better yet one from an FD)
Those are most of the bigger items. You will also need basic things like all new fluids, vacuum hose...etc

I agree with FC3S.ORG, the list he has is the minimum parts you'll need for the conversion. I'm currently doing the swap for my 91 convertible and putting in a j-spec turbo. If you're going to do the swap, I would suggest getting a wreak T2 donor car to make life easy. Just so you don't have to be searching for parts as you start work on it.
Just to give you an idea on the $$$ and time. It's been 3 month and I have put about $4,000(not including labor) into the conversion already. The only reason I'm doing this is because my idiot brother blown my engine and I had to do a rebuilt, so why not go turbo.
If I had a low mileage vert like yours, I wouldn't want to mess with it. Although they are slow, but could make much more HP with a few bolt on. Before my engine went out, I had an Greddy PE exhaust, intake and free flow cat on it. It ran great and was a very fun and reliable daily driver. With a turbo you'll lose some of that reliablity and have to keep a better eye on it, but on the other hand you get boost!! I guess the choose is yours to make and I just want to share two cents on the subject since I'm in the process of doing the conversion.
