NA to TII emissions?
My car is an 86 GXL, currently NA. I have to pass emissions one last time before my car is exempt form emissions in Seattle. My ACV is not working, which I knew and was planning on borrowing one for the emissions test. After passing I was pretty much immediately going to do a 6-port turbo conversion where I was going to scrap all emissions, since I won't need them anymore.
But now I have new circumstances. My exhaust just got scraped on a gigantic speed bump and sprung a huge leak between 2 of the cats/precats. The kind of leak that makes your ears bleed when you floor it. I'm pretty sure that emissions guys would not approve my car in this condition.
My idea now, is to do the turbo conversion before emissions, get a downpipe (like a corksport) but keep the main cat, run the airpump and whatever else I need and pass emissions that way. Then later I can replace the cat with a presilencer (also probably form corksport).
So I guess my biggest questions here are, will my NA main cat work with turbo, and what exactly will i need to keep in order to pass emissions?
I know the NA cat won't be ideal, but i just need it to work for a little bit. Also, emissions here does NOT include inspection.
Thanks for your input!

The main cat itself can be swapped from n/a to turbo. I believe they are the same part number, but physical dimensions are the same.
To pass emissions you would probably want to hook up the split air pipe to the cat and make sure your ACV and air pump are connected... Get the factory service manual and look over the components...
