The pics aren't good enough. List the color of the wires in each plug that you are having trouble with.

Just tell us what the wire colors are in whatever plug that you are having problems finding a proper connection to!

Ok, it must not be clear. The new tranny had no wires on it. I'm trying to
Figure out how to put the wires from my NA tranny onto the T2 tranny. There's 2 plugs that screw in with wires coming out of them from my NA. I found a spot for one that had two connectors on it. The other has a red wire a green wire and 2 connectors. This set of wires, shown in the last 2 pics, I cannot find a place fpr on the new tranny

I understand that the new tranny doesn't have wires, but that you're trying to connect wires to the new tranny and I was always asking what the color of these wires were, that's all!

Ok. They are a single red wire, singe green wire, then a 2 prong connector

You can just do what I did with my JDM T2 Tranny. From what I've read on the forums the Japanese Transmissions do not use the 5th/Neutral switch. All you need to worry about is the Reverse Switch, which is the one in your first picture, with the two little prongs sticking out. You should see two little plastic caps that will plug right into those on your NA harness. That will give you your reverse lights. Don't plug in the other wires, just hide those. I don't know if this apples to this though, since my project was a NA -> JDM TII and JDM Transmission. I used the stock NA harness too.

Siikduke, what u described is actually my exact setup. Jdm T2 motor and tranny with NA harness on N370 ECU. Only difference is that switch only has one prong on it, not 2

Ok, if you only have one prong, check and see if the other one is broken off. If it is, then you will need to get the module replaced. Do you still have your old Transmission? I believe that you can take your old NA reverse module with the two prongs and insert that into the TII Transmission. If you don't have one, I might have my NA reverse switch sitting around here somewhere...

The reverse switch is the one on drivers side with multiple wires coming off, correct? That one from my NA won't fit anywhere on my T2 tranny. The switch on the pass side of the tranny swapped out no problem. But yes there's only one prong on the switch on the drivers side, in the first picture, doesn't look like there's supposed to be a second

Yes I do believe that that would be the reverse switch on the drivers side for the NA Tranny.

Yeah, that is the 5th/Neutral Switch. JDM Transmissions don't use it, so keep the JDM module in there and don't hook the wires up to anything.

There should be two prongs. If there isn't then I do believe you will have to replace that module. The reverse lights need the two to active the lights in the back.

You will also have to find the connectors for the prongs, they are "bullet" type connections I believe, cylindrical in shape and plug into those prongs. If you can't find em or get something to make it work, I did a temp "ghetto" fix by using electrical tape to secure the wires to the two prongs. You'll have to look at the wiring diagram in the Factory Service Manual to see which colors the wires are to identify your reverse light wires, but first, replacing that switch.

ok, so it appears as though there very possibly may have been one prong broken off so what do i do now? i have searched and havent had any luck finding the jdm switch so am i pretty much stuck spending 170 on the usdm switch? will it work properly with the jdm tranny?

i need to get this project wrapped up as the 7 is my only vehicle so if, for now, i put the tranny in with No wires connected at all will the only negative outcome be not having reverse lights? if so i can at least get buy untill inspection time comes around then spend the 170 on that usdm reverse switch..

The reverse switch just makes the reverse lights come on. If you must you could rig up something temporary to turn the reverse lights on. Flip an installed switch and they turn on.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php

Rock Auto has a USDM TII switch for about $23.

I looked up for a Mazda -> 1990 -> RX7 -> 1.3L Turbo -> Electrical-Switch & Relay -> Back Up Lamp Switch -> STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # LS242.

I believe all you'd need to hook up are the red wires for the continuity to get your reverse lights works and that would be all.
