to satch, yes it does have 12.4 volts, the brown wire while the ignition is on but I couldnt check it while the engine is running because I was worried because of that hose that came off the oil injector on the rotor housing and I didnt want to run the engine without it as oil was coming out of it and I was worried about that housing not getting oil, but....
I tried to get to it by taking off the alternator but there was no chance so I marked every vac hose etc with different colored tape and took heaps of pics because to get to it I had to take off the top half of the inlet manifold and the throttle body etc.
I also referred to the fsm.
I was able to get to it but I found that on the rotor housing oil injector housings instead of having the plastic lines connected to them from the metering pump someone chopped them and used what looks like black vacuum hose and cable tied them on.
the fittings are there but it looks like someone damaged the hoses or cut them and joined them with black vacuum hose and cable ties to keep them on.
I'll put up some pics tomorrow.
It doesnt look factory like the 2 on the inlet manifold that have the plastic lines going directly to the fittings.
and because they are not made for oil they are all gummy and soft, so I will have to either replace them with hose that is rated for oil or try and get the whole lines for it.
I do need another metering pump because there is so much play in the shaft that its leaking oil so I guess I will also get the 2 lines that go to the rotor housings as well.
but I was disappointed that I didnt find anything that came off etc thats causing the fuel issue.
is it possible to leave the fuel check connector jumped all the time so that the car runs ?
I noticed it was running rich when it was running with the check connector jumped.
I dont know if thats because of that or something else.
To RotaryEvolution, Thanks for that, it gives me some piece of mind that something isnt wrong, I never noticed that sound before.
so I will put it back together when I get the parts but I still would like to know if I can leave the check connector jumped.
Any advice would be Appreciated,
Thanks.

Cool, Thanks satch.
It did run pretty rich though but thats probably something else.
im ordering the metering pump hoses and fuel injectors grommets form mazdatrix so while I have the manifold off I can replace those parts and not have to worry about them.
just have to wait about a week and a half for the parts to get here to sydney.
Thanks Again.
