NA ECU on TII?

I am wondering if this can be done temporarily to determine if my TII ECU is bad. It's coming from an 87 NA to an 88 TII.. my friend is pulling his engine right now so he doesn't need it.

The TII ECU is looking for bigger injectors, etc. If you just want to plug it in and turn on the car, MABYE. But to actually drive it, NO WAY. I wouldn't risk it man. I could be wrong though, just logic says to be VERY careful. I am not totally sure, I just know, if it were my car, I would not do it....

yeah, I could have swore I read about someone doing that, and I wondered if it would work. I would have to drive it to get the results I want.

Ive actually tried that, although by accident. Your car will run, but it will run like crap. You can do it as long as you are careful and its only temporary.

The pressure/boost sensors in a n/a and a turbo are considerably different. The car will start and run, I've swapped b/t the two to troubleshoot a starting problem before, but I'd suggest you don't boost the car like that.

You can’t troubleshoot a lean condition using an ECU with completely different fuel maps. Find the right ECU.
