Question n340 ecu questions

recently did a full turbo 2 swapp on my na chassi, minus the turbo 2 harness. my turbo 2 harness was hacked up so i modified my na harness to run it. ( is this a bas idea??? ) car runs fair on the na ecu but would like it to have a rev limiter and possibly a turbo base map. when i plug in my ecu that came with the swap it starts and idles fine but when you rev it it drops a whole rotr. ( thats what it seems like.) through much searching o found a thread that said you can not run a n340 jspec ecu in a aspec car. is this true?? is ther a pinning difference in the two or what. any help be real nice.

i know most people have trouble with the s5 jdm ecu...i would look for a usdm s4 t2 ecu, they can be had for around 50 bucks. make sure you are using the correct ecu and map sensor too.

weird

ok the first time i tried to run my car with the n340 ecu it started but onl ran on one rotor. then several weeks later i decided to work on it again and it started and idled on both rotors, but when you reved it past 3500 rpm it fell on its face. (no secondaries ) so i blew the whole thing off. now that i have been studing the forums trynig to find an answer i decided to try again. this time it starts on one rotor again. very weeird. how can it just to decided to run this way.
