n326 afm on s4 turbo2

i know the n326 was from an s4 non turbo and n318 is from a turbo. I was recently sold an n326 afm that i was told WAS a turbo afm. The seller insists that this will work just fine and that it was on his turbo car and worked just fine. please give me some feedback on this, what will happen if an n326 is ran on a turbo car? thanks

I'm pretty sure you are asking for trouble by using an n/a MAF on a T2. I would not drive a T2 swap without:

T2 AFM
T2 pressure sensor
T2 ECU
fuel cut defender

That's the conventional wisdom anyway. Someone else can specifically chime in as to why an n/a AFM is a bad call.

The seller is an idiot.
They may LOOK similar, but they are not calibated the same.
The spring rates are different between the flapper doors.

I wish these ******* who misrepresent what they are selling could be shot!
There's one guy on eBay who is trying to sell one of those "HKS STYLE" wastegates as a real, authentic HKS wastegate for $375 BIN.
You can buy the cheap knock-off for under $100.
What a crock of ****, cause he's even using pics of the knock-off's.
No HKS embossed logo on the top of the wastegate...
Hose fittings are taped over with round, silver stickers...real HKS leaves the holes open.
Fittings and gaskets all bundled up in one plastic bag...real HKS has gaskets individually sealed, and fasteners in their own bag.
Sorry for the rant...

I got a S4 N/A AFM from the junkyard for cheap to see if it would work for my TII. Either it doesn't work period, or I had a bad AFM.

Like Ted said, I'm pretty sure the flappers are different.

I still have the S4 N/A AFM in my car, along with the N340 ECU (turbo j-spec, I had couple of problems with that one, due to instrument cluster, but I think they are sorted out already) and a N/A boost sensor. the car runs but i have never been able to set the Idle correctly, I got all the turbo parts already, waiting on them to arrive, anyway, besides the idle problem you will encounter, im still experiencing a heating issue, not too bad but is there, i thot that the computer n340 was gonna fix that one, but it didnt, I hope the turbo AFM will. basically my theory is that the sensor is different and due to that the mix (air fuel ratio) runs lean causing the engine to run hotter, I have experienced many problems with my S4 TII swap and I think they are all due to running N/A sensors on a TII engine, Im still not victorious, since my parts are still on the way but seriously, the manufacturer has created 2 different part numbers, and theres a reason for that, anyone trying to outsmart the japaneese engineering deserves a slap. I would defenetly not use those N/A parts on the TII, based on experince, thats why I have my car parked until I get the correct parts, jus my two cents. Good luck getting your money back.

Btw

I got my AFM for 70 USD shipped, here in the clasified section. just make sure you get the right one there are some with different plugs, the S4 AFM US spec should have a 7 pin connector.
