n00b here.

Hello Everyone. I am looking into a second generation rx7 for a roadcourse car, also as a car to build up. I have been thinking about putting a 305/350 in it, but I want to research rotory a bit more. My main question is, would I fit into this car? I am 6'6 :/

Thanks,

Riven

Yes, you'll fit.

If you want to talk about engine conversions, there is a forum specifically for that (see "Other Engine Conversions").

Not to start this whole thing again, but dumping a lump of V8 in the car will definitly effect the weight balance...

At 6'6 you might be a little cramped. But these cars are amazingly spacious for thier size.

And watch out! I dont care about who puts V8s in thier FCs but a lot of people here do. Prepare for the flame war.

Put your flame suit on. You will need it. Putting piston engines into RX-7s is a touchy subject around here. Theres a shop called Grannys Speedshop that sells kits for putting in these types of engines. Do a search for it and you'll find ALOT of info. I'm 6'3" and fit nicely in the car. Im sure a racing seat will give you alot more headroom. RX-7s WITHOUT sunroofs have more headroom but theyre a bit harder to find. Learn to use the search feature as it will save you time.

6'6"...i would say it depends on how you are built. length of body/legs wise i mean. with the right proportions you should fit . you might want to look into getting one without a sunroof as you will get an extra inch of so of clearance up top.

Thanks for all the replies. I dont want to start a flame war, but im just looking for a project car really, that isnt too much. I am looking at either a second gen, or a 92 Stealth ES.
