N/A To A Turbo II Swap Fuel Problems
Where do i start??
I bought an 88 GXL N/A 5 speed as my project car to swap in a Turbo II motor/tranny etc.
I then bought a blown 87 Turbo II engine with a full harness, ecu, injectors, 5 speed tranny, basicly everything needed.
I had the engine rebuild with 3mm Apex seals, streetported, new gaskets all around, went with an S5 turbo and manifold, and some other goodies i cant think of at the moment.
The engine was rebuild by Conroy from 4Kruzn.
Once everything was swapped into my project car, we were ready to start it up.
We then adjusted the crank angle sensor so it was firing properly.
The car would turn over but not start.
I checked for spark, and there was plenty of it, checked my fuel pump to make sure it was pumping when it should be, it was.
I tried to start it again and it just kept turning over, not even one bang or pop.
After fidling around for about 1 our trying to diagnos and start the engine, it did something wich i have no idea why.
The fuel pump was off, no key was in the ignition, i was looking into the engine bay when out of knowwhere it starts pouring fuel onto the ground at mach speed.
it looked like it was coming from the manifold/intake side.
There was absolutly no fuel leaking out before, the reason being why it caught me wayyyy of guard.
Any guesses as to what it is?
Possibly a cracked fuel line, or stuck injectors??
Last but not least...I used a turbo II ecu from the 87' wich i took everything from and put it in my car as is.
I was just told i needed to change a couple of pinouts from the dash plug that goes into the ecu.
One being the boost gauge signal.
Has anyone ever heard of this, if so, what do i have to change?
Could it have been a factor to why it wont start?
