N/A to Turbo II Conversion...CARB legal or not?

how about it? I'm thinking of getting a beat up 2nd gen n/a and putting a tII motor in there. Anyone know if that would be CARB legal?

As long as you do a "factory" conversion it will be ok.

There is lots of work in doing that conversion. Plan on your car being on jack stands for a while unless your a really good mechanic and have lots of time.

I just got a T2 engine complete with turbo from a salvage yard in ft worth and they drove the car into the back .... so they claim. But Im still gonna be rebuilding it once this project at work is over. But I love the 15-20 hours a week of OT and what its doing to my paycheck (unless the GF is spending it).

As long as you use all of the stock smog equipment then it should be ok at smog check time. Hell half of the people in the country that smog our cars still look for parts that aren't there
