n/a transmission

just pulled a transmission out of a 86 gxl needs to be rebuilt. One thing i was wondering can it be rebuilt with the turbo rebuild kit or is there a heavy duty kit for it so it will hold a turbo motor i have

No, you will likely pay more to rebuild it then you will sell it for.

Oh, and it with the TII trans, its not just a bolt in replacement for the n/a. There are other parts you will need. Search and all the answers will be revealed to you!

Putting an NA tranny on a T2 is just asking to get stranded.

The input gear to the intermediate shaft will shred. Just ask Aaron Cake.

Hell, just with the mild mods on my NA, I am starting to trash my NA trans. It was rebuilt just 10k miles ago and I am already killing the bearings. It whines like an unfed baby.

iirc aaroncakes didn't kill the n/a trans until he reached about 400ft/lbs of torque. i might be a bit off, but i think it was somewhere around there.
